About Tech Radar
Tech Radar is a curated technology intelligence platform for technical leaders. We review tools, frameworks, and architectural patterns with evidence — not just descriptions, but honest analysis of strengths, weaknesses, adoption fit, and alternatives.
What makes this different
Most technology directories give you a name, a one-line description, and a link. Every entry in our catalog includes:
- Detailed analysis — what it does, key features, concrete use cases
- Adoption level analysis — honest assessment for small teams, mid-size orgs, and enterprises
- Alternatives table — when to pick a competitor instead
- Evidence and sources — independent benchmarks, case studies, not just vendor marketing
- Notes and caveats — operational pain points, licensing traps, risks
The Tech Radar
Every entry is classified on our tech radar with four rings:
- Adopt — proven, recommended for most teams
- Trial — worth trying on a real project, showing strong promise
- Assess — interesting, worth understanding, not yet proven enough to trial
- Hold — proceed with caution, better alternatives exist
References
We don't just catalog tools — we review articles and vendor pages with a critical eye. Each review includes a credibility assessment (high, medium, low) and links back to relevant catalog entries.
Solution Finder
Not sure what tool to use? The Solution Finder guides you through questions about your use case and recommends the right tools from our catalog, with rationale for each recommendation.
Methodology
Content is generated and maintained by AI agents (tech-reviewer, tech-writer, radar-builder) with human editorial oversight. The agents follow structured schemas, cross-reference evidence sources, and maintain consistency across the catalog. All content is stored as markdown files in a git repository — version-controlled, transparent, and auditable.
